HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

If you are celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend, we hope that you and your family enjoy your time spent together and talking about the things you are grateful for.

HERE ARE SOME FUN WAYS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY CAN GET ACTIVE THIS WEEKEND!

  1. MAKE AN OUTDOOR GRATITUDE LIST

This is a great activity to get the entire family involved, especially if you are hosting a big Thanksgiving gathering. Grab some sidewalk chalk and decorate your driveway and sidewalk with a gratitude list. Each person can write or draw the things they are most thankful for. If you leave some extra space, you can have your guests add their gratitude list too!!!

  2. ENJOY AN OUTDOOR SPORT OR ACTIVITY

You could organize a fun outdoor game with your guests or neighbours. Find a local park, backyard or driveway and play a game of soccer, football, dodgeball or ball hockey. Split everyone up and enjoy a friendly (and a bit competitive) game. Not sporty? Not to worry, try a game of tag or hopscotch.

  3. GO ON A FAMILY HIKE

No time to plan a game or activity? Why not take a walk through the neighbourhood or local forest. While you are waiting for dinner to cook take some time to enjoy the spectacular colours. Collect some beautiful fall leaves and the kids can do a craft after dinner.

  4. ENJOY A THANKSGIVING SCAVENGER HUNT

A Thanksgiving scavenger hunt will go over well with younger children and adults alike. Divide family members into teams of 2 or 3 and head out (you can find fall scavenger hunts with a quick internet search). Make it a bit more competitive by having a prize for the first team to finish, or simply play for fun.
